CAD Modelling & Mechanical Design

Here at 3D Printing Forge, we provide professional CAD modelling service to help you bring your idea to life faster.

We take your rough sketches, 2D technical drawings, or project brief and turn them into accurate, dimension-driven 3D files.

Whether you are prototyping a custom enclosure that will be 3D printed, or designing a part that will eventually be sent off for sheet metal folding or injection moulding, we focus on practical designs that can be manufactured.

What We Design

Our CAD services are focused on functional, mechanical parts. We design everything to exact measurements to make sure your parts can easily be manufactured and work exactly as intended in the real world.

Functional Prototyping

Custom enclosures, bespoke brackets, and multi-part mechanical assemblies.

Design Modifications & Upgrades

Taking an existing design and improving it. Whether that means reinforcing a weak point on a failing factory part, or designing custom automotive modifications (like bespoke air intakes or speaker pods) to fit your vehicle perfectly.

Manufacturing Tooling

Custom jigs, fixtures, and tooling inserts tailored to your production process.

Cross-Process Design

Designing parts not just for 3D printing, but also for CNC machining, sheet metal folding, and traditional injection moulding.

A quick note on scope: we don't currently offer organic digital sculpting service (like character models, miniatures, or decorative toys).

How it works

To create your CAD model efficiently and keep your costs down, we build upon the information you provide.

1. What We Need From You: While we can work from a basic idea, it is much faster and more cost-effective if you can provide detailed sketches with accurate dimensions, 2D technical drawings, or physical reference parts.

2. Reviewing the Design: Once we create the initial 3D model, we will review it with you to make sure every detail and dimension is exactly right before moving forward.

3. Validation & Delivery: If needed, we can use our in-house 3D printers to quickly test the fit and function of the part. Once you are happy with the design, we hand over clean, industry-standard CAD files (STEP / IGES) that you fully own and are ready for production.
